Projects


Sunfield School, Worcestershire
• A new residential building for 12 children with profound ASD. This comprises single bedrooms, bathrooms, living , dining and kitchen facilities, commercial laundry and a sensory room. A creative design of the circulation space and living accommodation combined with a sense of home from home for residents provided the building as a model for good practice to visiting care providers.

• Feasibility Study 1996: Development of the site to accommodate a new school and other facilities.
• Feasibility Study 2001: A further study to develope the site to accommodate a new school, gymnasium, refurbished administration buildings, new residential accommodation.


Residential care home, Kidderminster
• A refurbishment of a large house for Fairmont Residential Ltd to provide a care home for four adults with ASD. Single bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, living, dining and kitchen facilities, laundry and ancillary facilities.



Supported living accommodation, Kidderminster
• A new build for Fairmont Residential Ltd to provide care for three young adults with learning difficulties in single rooms with en suite shower rooms and shared living, kitchen and dining facilities connecting to a commercial laundry, activity area, office and ancillary facilities.


SEN School, Dartford, Kent
• A competition win for Kent County Council to design and build a major refurbishment and extension of a secondary SEN school near Dartford for 96 pupils with learning difficulties.


• This project involved all new classrooms and sports hall.



ASD Teaching Unit, Twickenham, London
• A new build specialist teaching unit for 15 children with ASD in the London Borough of Richmond. This is a stand alone building with three classrooms, sensory room, communal space and ancillary facilities. Opened in 2006 by Jane Asher (President of the National Autistic Society).



Respite Centre, Nottingham
• Residential respite centre for Nottingham Regional Society for Adults and Children with Autism for 6 young adults including en suite bathrooms, living, dining and staff facilities.



Promis Recovery Centre, Kent
• A major extension to an existing recovery centre in Kent for patients suffering from addictive disorders to provide increased residential accommodation, admin, sports facilities and nursing centre.


Phoenix SEN School, Tower Hamlets, London
A special primary and secondary school for pupils with ASD. Borough of Tower Hamlets
• Refurbishment of the dining hall to provide an arts laboratory for dancing and experimental theatre.
• Re-design of Home Economics Laboratory to provide teaching kitchens and life skills facilities.
• Advice concerning acoustic treatment in classrooms
